Payday 3 Blasted on Steam as Players Faced Matchmaking error, CEO issue Apology
By: Hypron || Sep 24, 2023
Payday 3 appears to have addressed the majority of its major faults. The Payday franchise has established itself as one of the most popular co-op games available. Players can collaborate with three other players to plan, execute, and elaborate heists. It places a strong emphasis on teamwork since players must be completely in sync if they are to pull off flawlessly.
You may do everything quietly, taking hundreds of thousands of dollars before anyone notices, or you can go loud. Of course, when anything goes wrong and firearms start firing, most people are likely to yell. It’s a good time regardless of what occurs, and there’s plenty of replayability.
Fans have been waiting a decade for a third game, and it is finally here. Payday 3 received its first official glimpse this summer, and after a few betas, the game was released earlier this week. There were some snags throughout the game’s early access stage, but things were going well overall. The game then went live on Game Pass and for normal edition customers, with mixed results.
The servers were hammered almost immediately, preventing most players from finding a match, even if they had a full party. For about two days, the game was basically unplayable for a lot of players, as Payday 3 is always online and therefore can’t be played if the servers are having issues. Now, the problems seem to have been fixed, as players are getting in and enjoying the game without severe issues.

Some players are still experiencing matchmaking error pop-ups, but overall, things are much more stable and less bothersome. It remains to be seen whether Starbreeze intends to compensate players for the huge launch concerns. Because of the flaws, Payday 3 received harsh criticism in user reviews on Steam, and player counts dropped precipitously. Player counts are still approximately halfway down from their all-time high, although the game did peak at 70k in the last 24 hours, which is 7k short of the all-time high.
