The fourth season of Demon Slayer follows Tanjiro Kamado, a loyal member of the Demon Slayer Corp, as he fights the fearsome Muzan Kibutsuji and his Twelve Demon Moons. Season 4 follows the events of the Hashira Training arc, which adapts chapters 128–136 of Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer manga.

The Hashira Training arc is the smallest chapter in the Demon Slayer series, yet it contains some of the most violent scenes and digs deeper into the backgrounds of each Hashira.

Demon Slayer Season 4 Story

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 4” will adapt the manga’s Hashira Training arc, which sees Tanjiro getting the training needed to become a Hashira. This arc follows Tanjiro’s rigorous training under the Stone Hashira, Gyomei Himejima. The Hashira Training arc is only 9 chapters long, however, which is quite short.

During this training, Tanjiro learns the Breath of the Sun, the original and most powerful breathing technique, from Rengoku’s father. Zenitsu learns to maintain his Breath of Thunder form in his sleep, and Inosuke develops a new technique called Beast Breathing: Seventh Fang – Spatial Awareness.

The training is tough and pushes them to their limits, but it also brings them closer as a team and strengthens their resolve to defeat Muzan Kibutsuji. The arc ends with them successfully completing their training and preparing for their final battle.

The Hashira Training Arc sets the stage for the final arc of the series, the Infinity Castle Arc, where the Demon Slayer Corps launch their final assault on Muzan and his demons. It’s a turning point in the series and marks the beginning of the end of their journey

Demon Slayer Season 4: Release Date & Schedule

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 4” is set to release on May 12, 2024. The first episode will be a special one-hour premiere. The season will adapt the Hashira Training arc from the manga, covering chapters 128–136. This arc follows Tanjiro’s rigorous training under the Stone Hashira, Gyomei Himejima, as he aims to become a Hashira within the Demon Slayer Corps.

The anime will be available to stream on Crunchyroll, and like with past seasons, regional dubs will be available on the anime streaming service. The anime is also expected to be released on Netflix.

The compilation film “To the Hashira Training,” which released in cinemas around the world, featured the final episode of Swordsmith Village as well as the first episode of the impending Hashira Training Arc.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 4” will feature the following characters:
Tanjiro Kamado: The main protagonist, a kind-hearted boy who becomes a demon slayer after his family is slaughtered by demons.
Nezuko Kamado: Tanjiro’s younger sister, who has been turned into a demon but still retains a sense of humanity.
Zenitsu Agatsuma: A demon slayer who fights with the Breath of Thunder style.
Inosuke Hashibira: A demon slayer who fights with the Beast Breathing style.
Giyu Tomioka (Water Hashira): A member of the Hashira who uses the Water Breathing style.
Mitsuri Kanroji (Love Hashira): A member of the Hashira who uses the Love Breathing style.
Obanai Iguro (Serpent Hashira): A member of the Hashira who uses the Serpent Breathing style.
Sanemi Shinazugawa (Wind Hashira): A member of the Hashira who uses the Wind Breathing style.
Gyomei Himejima (Stone Hashira): A member of the Hashira who uses the Stone Breathing style.
Muichiro Tokito (Mist Hashira): A member of the Hashira who uses the Mist Breathing style.
Shinobu Kocho (Insect Hashira): A member of the Hashira who uses the Insect Breathing style.

These characters will play significant roles in the upcoming season as Tanjiro and his friends undergo rigorous training under the Hashira to prepare for their final battle.
