Last year, Among Us developer InnerSloth announced an animated series being developed by CBS Eye Animation Productions. Since then, details have been limited, but the game’s official Twitter account shared a new image from the series today.

The photo shows an unmanned pizza party. However, the banner hanging in the room is splattered with blood, suggesting that something sinister has happened. InnerSloth didn’t provide any further details, but the company’s tweet says “The show is on the way,” which should be great news for fans!

Among Us New Animated Series

The first look was shared on Instagram by CBS TV Studios and Innersloth, the studio that produced the original game. The image shows what appears to be a pizza party aboard a crashed spaceship, indicating the game’s original setting. The party banner read “We Are Dead” and was covered in blood. “Sick crew members will be rewarded with a (safe) pizza party (no traps),” Innerslot wrote in the post. \”Work on the #AmongUs Animated show is progressing well!!!”

While most plot details are limited, Among Us will have players take on the role of a diverse crew of color aboard a spaceship. Inspired by the classic Mafia party game, the game sees a player designated as an impostor and tasked with killing other crew members to complete various missions. The crew must figure out who the impostor is and vote to get off the ship, while the impostor must try to kill the other players by convincing them of their innocence.

It looks like the show will largely follow these guidelines, as CBS’ synopsis for the show says, “Your crew has been replaced by an alien shape-shifter intent on wreaking havoc, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone. Deranged.” In addition to serving. as series creator, Dennis will serve as an executive producer on Innersloth alongside Forest Willard, Marcus Bromand, and Carl Neisser, along with Chris Prenos Kaye, Shannon Prenosky, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalin (Chickade). Also produced by CBS Eye Animation Productions.
