Counter Strike 2, the latest installment of the popular first-person shooter franchise, has introduced a new game mode called Premier. Premier mode is the core competitive queue of Counter Strike 2, where players can test their skills and rank up in a more challenging and rewarding environment.

The premier mode features a map pick-ban system, where each team can choose or veto maps from the pool before the match starts. The map pool consists of seven maps: Dust II, Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, Overpass, Train, and Vertigo. The map pick-ban system allows players to have more control over their preferred maps and strategies.

Premier mode also features a new MR12 format, which means that each half of the match lasts for 12 rounds instead of 15. The first team to win 13 rounds wins the match. The MR12 format makes the matches shorter and more intense, as each round matters more and comebacks are more possible.

Premier mode also features a visible rating system, where players can see their current rating and progress towards the next rank. The rating system is based on the Glicko-2 algorithm, which takes into account the player’s performance, consistency, and opponent’s strength. The rating system has 18 ranks, from Silver I to Global Elite.

Counter Strike 2: How to Unlock Premier Mode

To unlock Premier mode, players need to meet two requirements:

Have Prime Status: Prime Status is a feature that grants access to exclusive benefits and services in Counter Strike 2, such as Prime-exclusive matchmaking, Prime-exclusive item drops, Prime-exclusive souvenir items, and more. Players can get Prime Status by paying $14.99 on Steam or by reaching Level 21 in the game.
Be Level 10 or higher: Level is a measure of the player’s experience and progression in Counter-Strike 2. Players can increase their level by playing matches and earning XP. Players will need at least 5,000 XP to reach Level 10.
