Rogue dashed Vitality’s hopes of qualifying for the LEC Summer Split Playoffs before a potential tiebreaker with Excel. Vitality now awaits the outcome of the final regular season match between Fnatic and Misfits to determine their fate. If Fnatic wins, Vitality will have to play a tiebreaker match against Excel, but if Fnatic loses, Vitality will advance to the next round of the competition.

Vitality began their match against Rogue with a strong composition and a clear path to victory. The early game was filled with unexpected ganks and decisive attacks towards neutral objectives like Herald and Drake thanks to Haru’s Trundle, but Rogue was waiting for a slight mistake from their opponent to jump on them and take them down. That is exactly what occurred.

In search of proactive plays, their opponents caught Vitality off guard, providing Rogue with the ideal opportunity to engage and deal a decisive blow to the opposing team. Despite Rogue’s slight advantage in gold and kills, the game was still relatively even for both sides when the 20-minute timer expired. But everything changed in the blink of an eye during a fight for the game’s third drake, when Malrang’s flank caught Vitality’s botlane off guard, allowing his team to take down the enemy team’s carry.

From then on, it was almost all plain sailing for Rogue, who maintained the calm and cool head for which they are known, executing well-timed engagements and surprising flanks. Rogue’s execution of their game strategy and map control provided them with all of the neutral objectives required to besiege Vitality’s base. Rogue slowly but steadily took down two of their opponents’ inhibitors with little resistance because Vitality couldn’t risk a daring attack without putting their Nexus at risk if it failed.

However, Vitality couldn’t let Rogue win without a fight for their lives, and in the game’s final teamfight, Vitality gave their all to keep their hopes alive. Nonetheless, it was insufficient in the face of Rogue’s relentless and oppressive march towards the enemy’s Nexus.

Rogue finishes the regular split with an ace, leaving Vitality’s fate in the hands of Fnatic and Misfits.
