OnePlus Pad 5g: Here Are A Few Things You Should Consider Before Buying

In India, OnePlus has just released its first tablet, the OnePlus Pad 5g. It has some nice hardware and certainly looks the part for a gadget priced from Rs. 37,999 upwards. Along with the phone, OnePlus released three accessories: a keyboard case, a simple folio case, and a stylus. We already gave our first impressions of the tablet when it was first introduced by OnePlus in February 2023, and we are now evaluating it. We decided to put together a quick checklist of the top five things you need to know about the OnePlus Pad for those anxious to get their hands on it immediately.

OnePlus Pad 5g: A Sleek Metal Body Design

First impressions are important, and the OnePlus Pad 5g delivers. It’s a sleek machine with an ultra-portable design. The cambered frame was chosen to provide a pleasant grip no matter how long you hold it (and with a 9510mAh battery, that can be long). The device feels slimmer when combined with the Unified Metal Body, which includes a 2.5D round edge treatment for the first time on a tablet.

The OnePlus Pad is available in a familiar yet refreshing Halo Green color. The green color has become synonymous with OnePlus products, and when paired with a OnePlus 11 or the OnePlus Buds Pro 2, the OnePlus Pad will feel completely at home.

OnePlus Pad 5g: A Really Fast Chipset

Chipset, RAM, and power. The three pillars of the OnePlus Pad’s “Faster and Further” experience. Let’s begin at the beginning. The Dimensity 9000 chipset includes a Cortex-X2 processor with a 3.05GHz clock speed and 1MB of L2 cache. This translates to improved gaming, a performance advantage, and a 35% increase in power efficiency.

Let us now discuss RAM. Multitasking on a tablet has never been easier, thanks in large part to the OnePlus Pad’s up to 12GB RAM, a premium feature typically found in market-leading devices. Higher RAM translates to greater capacity to handle more tasks without losing progress due to apps reloading in the background. With RAM-VITA, that means up to 24 programs running in the background for a smooth transition.

If your gadget is dead, performance is meaningless. You don’t have to stop what you’re doing to charge your OnePlus Pad battery, because the OnePlus Pad’s robust battery allows you to use it all day. It includes a 9510mAh battery that provides 12.4 hours of video playback or one month (!) of standby time. This is paired with a 67W SUPERVOOC, which enables a full charge of the battery in about 80 minutes.

OnePlus Pad 5g: With a Huge Screen

The Pad has an 11.61-inch screen and the industry-leading 7:5 ratio to provide the greatest entertainment experience possible. As a result, the tablet is great for reading on a large screen while avoiding eye strain. A larger screen also means you can see more on your tablet, whether it’s more rows on a Google Sheet or more landscape in a role-playing game. With a resolution of 2800×2000 and a pixel density of 296 PPI, your content has never looked better.

The OnePlus Pad has a 144Hz refresh rate display to help you get the most out of the Dimensity 9000’s capabilities. You will undoubtedly have a quick and smooth experience when you require it the most. Your Pad may also automatically alter its refresh rate – between 30Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz – based on various usage conditions, allowing you to preserve battery life while running numerous programs.

A sharp and quick display is stunning, but the OnePlus Pad’s aural experience elevates it to another level. Dolby Atmos recreates the same surround sound quality as a movie theatre, complete with depth, clarity, and detail.

The Omni-bearing sound field function on the Pad allows you to clearly hear sound coming from the tablet from any direction. Taking its name literally, “Omni” means “all.” The OnePlus Pad intelligently detects screen direction and alternates between left and right audio channels, resulting in greater sound quality and an overall improved listening experience. This results in a more immersive audio experience, particularly while viewing TV shows, playing games, or editing content.
