On September 23, 2023, MrBeast uploaded a video titled “I Spent $1,000,000 On Lottery Tickets and Won”, where he revealed that he had partnered with Samsung and that the Galaxy S23 Ultra was his official vlog camera. He also gave away 100 of these phones to random people on the street and showed off some of the features of the device, such as the 8K video recording, the 108 MP camera, and the 100x zoom.

The video has over 100 million views as of October 2, 2023, and is sponsored by Samsung. According to MrBeast, this is not a one-time deal, but a long-term partnership that will last for at least a year.

Why did it spark controversy?

The sponsorship deal between MrBeast and Samsung has sparked some controversy among some media outlets and critics, who have questioned the motives and ethics behind it.
