Fortnite: Data Miners Teased Lord Of The Rings Crossover

The beloved Lord of the Rings franchise appears to be the next major crossover for Fortnite. Fortnite has collaborated with nearly every major media property you can think of in the last few years. Fortnite has brought in a number of familiar faces from some of the world’s biggest franchises, including Star Wars, Marvel, and even WWE. While The Lord of the Rings has yet to appear in the popular battle royale shooter, it appears that this will change soon.

Epic appears to have dropped a subtle tease within the game that indicates something associated with The Lord of the Rings is on the horizon, as discovered by well-known Fortnite insider Shiina. A sand castle that resembles Helm’s Deep can currently be found on the beach in Fortnite. Helm’s Deep is a well-known location from The Lord of the Rings, most notably in the film The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. One of the most epic battles in LotR takes place here.

For the time being, it is unknown what a Fortnite and Lord of the Rings crossover would look like. Based on previous collaborations, it appears that new skins associated with character skins from this series will be added to the game. Given the importance of The Lord of the Rings as a property, Epic Games may have even bigger plans for this event.

Epic is currently teasing a The Lord of the Rings collaboration on the Island!

The Rock Kid is building this on the beach right now, and there are A LOT of similarities between this sand castle and a LotR castle!

Since Epic appears to be openly teasing the arrival of Lord of the Rings content in Fortnite, it appears that a formal announcement could come soon.
