Deathloop Game Reportedly Delayed Till Sept

The upcoming PlayStation 5 and Deathloop PC video game of Arkane Lyon was again postponed. While it was later released on 21 May, the developer revealed this morning that the release date was now postponed to 14 September. As with this sort of delays, as with Deathloop’s previous one, the reasons are that the developer needs the output of the video game to be guaranteed before the start instead of after.

The Dev’s, attributed to the game director Dinga Bakaba, art director Sebastien Mitton, and the rest of the team, reads in part, “we have decided to postpone DEATHLOOP until September 14, 2021.” “Our team’s goals for DEATHLOOP are respected and we work to ensure the health and safety of everyone at Arkane. We will use this additional time to achieve our goal: to develop a friendly, stylish and thoughtful player experience.”

Bethesda’s official description of the upcoming video game is as follows:

“Players take on the role of Colt, who is stuck in a time loop on the mysterious island of Blackreef, doomed to replay the same day indefinitely. The only way to break the loop is to assassinate eight main targets before the day resets. However, rival assassin Julianna is hiding in the shadows, armed with her own equally powerful abilities and firearms, on a quest to protect the loop by assassinating Colt and restarting the cycle.”

As previously stated, Deathloop will now be released on September 14th for the PlayStation 5 and PC. It was most recently scheduled to be released in May. Given that Xbox acquired Bethesda, the parent company of developer Arkane Studios, it seems that it would inevitably release for the Xbox Series X|S as well.
