RNG Suffer First Loss Of MSI As They Fall To PSG Talon

Royal Never Give Up won twelve straight games at this year’s Mid-Season League Invitational. After a perfect 8-0 record in the group stage, RNG began the rumble with four straight wins, including winning all other major teams in the area at the tournament.

When the team kept picking up winning after winning, rumbling about a possible perfect event started to stir. But PSG Talon, Team 1 out of the PCS, today blocked the chance of perfection for the team.

PSG ran easily through RNG. PSG Talon left little to be sure of the win during the 28-minutes affair with a final kill score of 26-9 and a gold difference of more than 12,000 when the match ended.

The team’s mid laner, Maple, was probably the biggest contributor to today’s PSG win. The 7-year-old veteran has been involved in his fourth and first MSI since 2018. In that year, no one other but RNG knocked off his Flash Wolves Team. Maple today tried to revile the LPL by placing a 7:1/9 commanding score on his former rivals in Zoe. His lane rival Critin was decimated and a game taken by himself to ensure victory.

This match marked the end of RNG and PSG Talon for the first round of the rumbling stage. Through five games, RNG still sits on the leaderboard of the MSI but could see itself with another loss to fall. DWG KIA and MADLions sit right behind RNG and the tournament could host a close tie for the first part of the final two days of the rumbling stage depending on the outcome of today’s games – which include a match between DWG and MAD Lions.
