LOL: JD Gaming Releases Their Two-Player from Roster
By: Hypron || Oct 3, 2021
JD Gaming has decided to part ways with veteran AD carry LokeN and substitute support Mystic after failing to qualify for the 2021 World Championship.
Many fans and analysts were impressed by JD Gaming’s 2020 campaign, which saw the organisation achieve back-to-back top-two finishes. They also went to Worlds that year as one of the event’s strongest contenders but were eliminated in the knockout stage by Suning Gaming. Despite this setback, this team was expected to continue playing at the same level the following year.

This, however, was far from the case. The organisation finished the 2021 Summer Split in 12th place, failing to earn a spot as a Chinese representative at Worlds. Many JD Gaming fans were disappointed by the outcome, as the roster contains many talented players, including a 20-year-old superstar jungler in Kanavi, a top lane veteran in Zoom, and a consistent mid lane presence in Yagao.
Although the team struggled as a whole, the bottom line was far from acceptable. LokeN, for example, was the LPL ADC with the smallest share of his team’s average damage to champions. Mystic, on the other hand, was JD Gaming’s stand-in for the entire year of 2021. Prior to that, he was an Afreeca Freecs starter in 2020 and Team WE’s main ADC from 2015 to 2019.
It is still unknown which marksman JD Gaming will team up within the bottom lane in 2022. However, there is still plenty of time before free agency begins, and plenty of room for the team to plan out a possible roster for next year.
