Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 is now available, and the storey this season focuses heavily on The Foundation. After much speculation, Epic Games revealed that the character is based on Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s likeness and voice. Over the last week, the wrestler-turned-actor has been hyping his role in Fortnite, and he did so again today, promising that he “won’t stop until the Zero Point is free.” The Tweet was accompanied by a video of the same cut scene seen in Fortnite Chapter 2’s finale.

The Rock Tweeted This on his official Twitter Handle

Prior to the Dwayne Johnson reveal, Fortnite had been emphasising The Foundation’s significance since earlier this year. The character made his debut in Chapter 2 Season 6’s Zero Crisis Finale, and he quickly became one of the most intriguing parts of the game’s narrative. When Batman arrived in Gotham City in October’s Batman/Fortnite: Foundation one-shot comic, the Foundation played an important role. As the leader of The Seven, it’s clear that The Foundation is an important part of the game’s plot, so it makes sense that Epic Games would cast someone on Dwanye Johnson’s level for the role.

The theme for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 is “flipped,” and The Rock isn’t the only major celebrity to appear this season. After months of speculation, Spider-Man has finally arrived in the game, with a new web-slinging mechanic that has already gained a sizable following on social media. It’s still too early to tell what the general consensus will be on the new season, but it appears to be off to a great start.

Fortnite is currently available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
