Fortnite: Cobra Kai Set Revealed on New Year

Fortnite has become known for its unique pop culture crossovers, with superheroes, sci-fi franchises, and other existing elements making their way into the Epic Games battle royale. According to the game’s official social media account, that now includes the world of the Karate Kid, as well as a number of new cosmetics inspired by Netflix’s Cobra Kai. The hit Netflix series, which is about to return for a new season, has inspired a wide range of offerings, many of which are now available in Fortnite’s Item Shop. This comes after a Fortnite leak earlier this month appeared to indicate that Cobra Kai elements would be introduced to the game.

For 800 V-Bucks, you can purchase ten different character skins, each of which can be customised with the show’s appropriate dojo of your choice. Smaller cosmetic items include two pickaxes for 800 V-Bucks, two Back Bling, and a Crane Kick emote. There are “Karate KO” and “Dojo Showdown” bundles that provide all of the skin options for 2,000 V-Bucks if you want to fully showcase your love for Cobra Kai. There is also a “Cobra Kai Gear” package for 1,500 V-Bucks that includes all of the accessory items.
Given Cobra Kai’s smash success on Netflix, which has become a bonafide Emmy-nominated phenomenon, it was only a matter of time before Fortnite got involved. And, with Season 4 set to premiere later this week and Season 5 already in the works, the series’ buzz is only going to grow.
“You’ve seen Johnny and Daniel interact for a few seasons now and a movie wave way, way, way back when, and you’ve seen glimpses of them getting along and being on the same page, and you’ve seen them throw fists on a dime,” co-creator Jon Hurwitz told ComicBook.com. “With the two of them together, anything is possible.”Right now, they’re working together to defeat a common foe. And their intentions are all positive in terms of what they want to do, but let’s see how these two guys work together toward the same goal, despite their disparate approaches. Will they be able to join forces in a way that is productive and smooth sailing, or will there be bumps in the road? And that’s what fans will have to look forward to in season four.”
Fortnite is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
