Fnatic in their opening round of Valorant Champions Tour Masters Reykjavík today and dominated LATAM representatives KRÜ Esports with calculated aggression. KRÜ fought hard but were eventually defeated by the ever-methodical Fnatic, who matched well-timed violence with composure on Haven (13-5) and Icebox (13-5). (13-4).

In the best-of-three VALORANT series, the European No. 2 seed was easily defeated by KRÜ. Derke, who is eighteen years old, played with a lot of confidence, entry-fragging with Jett with the Vandal. The Finn always gave Fnatic the upper hand, engaging in head-on duels before ducking and dashing out of harm’s way.

When Fnatic scored the crucial opening kill, they sat back and waited for KRÜ to make a mistake. With the utility and fragging strength of Jake “Boaster” Howlett’s Astra on Haven and Martin “Magnum” Pekov’s Killjoy on Icebox, the Argentine underdogs found it difficult to conquer.

Fnatic Vs Sentinels

Fnatic will now face Sentinels in the upper bracket quarterfinals, which promises to be a far more competitive match. The Sentinels arrived in Iceland with a nine-game winning streak and an unbeaten record in the NA Challengers Finals. They also won the first NA Masters tournament, establishing themselves as North America’s best team.

On the other hand, Fnatic is regarded as a top European team, second only to Team Liquid, who beat them in the EU Challengers Playoffs. Both teams are at the top of their respective regions and feature some of the world’s best duelists. Derke will face off against Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, arguably one of the best Jett and Reyna players.

Hunter “SicK” Mims and Shahzeb “ShahZaM” Khan can also frag out when necessary, and ShahZaM has proven to be an outstanding in-game leader. Jake “Boaster” Howlett is a well-rounded chief who is well-supported by the majority of the Fnatic roster.
