CSGO: Vitality Coach XTQZZZ Part Ways

Vitality and Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam have officially split up, as announced by the organisation on its Twitter account.

The 32-year-old coach’s departure comes as no surprise given that it was widely reported that the team would be undergoing a major overhaul heading into 2022, with reports dating back to early November linking Vitality with the addition of Astralis trio Danny “zonic” Srensen, Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, and Emil “Magisk” Reif.

Despite the impending changes, the French side has continued to compete at a high level in recent weeks, finishing 2021 on a high note, finishing runners-up at the BLAST Premier Fall Final, winning IEM Winter, and finishing third at the BLAST Premier World Final.

Following Vitality’s elimination from the last event with the current roster, Dan “apEX” Madesclaire said an emotional goodbye to XTQZZZ in an interview on BLAST’s official broadcast after having spent three years representing the French banner under the coach’s tutelage.

During that time, XTQZZZ supported the team as it rose from a completely new constellation in late 2018 to a title contender, winning numerous titles such as ECS Season 7 Finals, EPICENTER 2019, and BLAST Premier Fall 2020 Finals, and becoming the No. 1 ranked team twice in late 2020.

The French captain has left his first-tier-one team and is looking forward to a new challenge. According to a report on 1pv.fr on Monday, he is set to join G2 as part of a roster overhaul in Europe.
