Cloud9 Won LCS 2021 Final Against Team Liquid, Advances To MSI Iceland

The North American League of Legends marked the 2021 LCS Spring Split as new age. Veteran players came down, rookies increased, and teams made all stops. They were unexpected.
The finals of today’s mid-season showdown ended with the battle of the two LCS juggernauts Team Liquid and Cloud9, to represent North America at MSI, the first international event of the year and thus become the winners of Spring Split. Cloud9 has gone on top 3-2, regaining hold of North America, after five non-stop skirmish games.

Cloud9 dominated every match in the series with five bloods on Alphari in consecutive first. Some step-by-side games with Liquid were hard to close, as Cloud9 lost big leads and the series was brought into a five-game with the MSs championship.

Thrown out all the mages and Everfrost combos that he could find and dominating the ground, the eyes were on Perkz all during this series. Perkz is now a LEC and LCS split winner, with his teammate Zven being his other player. The mid-range Croatian finished with an imposing score of 27/5/24 in the five-game set.

The fans were unsure if Armao would be able to stand up to Blaber as he did against Spica in their series against TSM in replacement of Santorin for a second day in a row instead of his recovery. However, Armao’s MVP prevented Alpharis or Jensen from being helped thus ensuring that Fudge was still served.

Cloud9 again is the leader of North America with this win. In the Spring Split Playoffs in 2020, C9 had already ended Liquid’s unprecedented, four-split playoff wins of 2018 to 2019. And now, again, their NA team’s fellow veteran has prevented the gold medal that last year they couldn’t get.

Cloud9 now advance to the Mid-Season Invitational, which begins May 6. But their path to victory on the first international stage of the year won’t be an easy one. Cloud9 notably didn’t make it to the 2020 World Championship and have not had the opportunity to face any of these teams in international competition. This will be the first time that Cloud9 has had the chance to face any team outside of the LCS since Worlds 2019 following the cancellation of MSI last year.

Fans have many expectations on the current Lol roster of Cloud9, let’s see what Luka and the company got in their pockets in Iceland.
