Cloud9 CSGO Manager HenryG Part Ways With Organization
By: Hypron || April 6, 2021
Cloud9 and general manager Henry “HenryG” Greer mutually agreed to part ways on Monday, following the organization’s decision to “pause involvement” with Counter-Strike on March 27.
“Today is the day that Cloud9 and I will part ways,” HenryG announced on social media. “It’s a shame how things turned out with so many mitigating factors but so many happy memories,” she says.
Former commentator HenryG, who joined the organization in September 2020, was in charge of the “Colossus” project, a European CSGO roster initially focused on ALEX, woxic, mezii, es3tag, floppy, and coach kassad.

Thanks to @JackEtienne for the opportunity and the players for their hard work and time.
It's truly a shame how things panned out with a lot of mitigating circumstances but plenty of positive memories, too.
But due to the coronavirus pandemic, the team was “prevented” from “assembling” as planned, and though everyone “worked hard to rise to the challenge,” according to the organization, remote training wasn’t “conducive for building an organization the way Cloud9 usually does.”
Cloud9’s problems were exacerbated by ongoing concerns with woxic’s “unreliable high ping” and a “compromise time zone,” culminating in the company terminating the player’s contract in January 2021.
Cloud9 “remains passionate” about competing in CSGO and plans to return to competitive play once conditions normalize. However, HenryG and the other participants will no longer be participating in the project.
“I have chosen to take a sabbatical and enjoy some of the normality life has to offer in this strange transition time,” said HenryG. “I’m going to be back when the right time comes”
