Battlefield 2042 was released in a shaky state this year, leaving many players wondering when Electronic Arts and DICE would start releasing new updates. While the first of many updates arrived in tandem with the game last week, DICE has now revealed that the next major patch for the multiplayer shooter will arrive in just a few days.

Today, it was confirmed on the official EA website that the next patch for Battlefield 2042 will be released on Thanksgiving. If you live outside of the United States, this means the update will go live on Thursday, November 25.

EA and DICE did not reveal much about the update’s content, but it has already been confirmed that this will not be the only patch in the near future. In fact, the third title update for Battlefield 2042 will arrive in early December, with a fourth set to arrive near the end of next month.

Here the Announcement Tweet:

DICE thanked fans who are currently playing Battlefield 2042, speaking more broadly about the game as a whole. It also stated that the most recent entry in the series had nearly double the number of players as the previous instalment, Battlefield V. So, while Battlefield 2042 has received a lot of criticism in its first full week of availability, EA and DICE are encouraged by where the game is right now and where it is headed in the future.

“We couldn’t be more passionate about this game and will be supporting and evolving it for years to come,” according to the most recent blog post on the EA website. “Teams from all over the world are working around the clock to evolve and improve the game. Since launch, we’ve made a number of service updates that have improved server performance as well as vaulting and restoring content that isn’t performing as expected.”

If you haven’t had a chance to play Battlefield 2042 yet, you can do so now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
