Among Us: New Crewmate Color Coming In Next Patch Update

InnerSloth, the creator of Among Us, has revealed a new gray-colored crewmate who will be joining the game soon! When the game’s 15 player update goes online, fans of Among Us will be able to use the new crewmate color.

The hue was unveiled via the game’s Twitter account, which also uploaded a short video of the hue in action. It’s a little tweak to the game, but it should provide gamers with a bit more diversity. It’s also the second new hue shown in recent days, following the introduction of the new Rose-colored crewmate.

Responses to the Tweet above are replete with puns involving variations of “gray-t,” indicating that the majority of players are already fond of the new color! In total, six new hues will be added in the update, with four more to be disclosed. In a blog post last month, InnerSloth mentioned that it was challenging finding colors that would be aesthetically distinctive from those currently in the game, so it would be interesting to see what else makes the cut.

The developer would like to include additional ways of recognizing crewmates for colorblind players, although InnerSloth appears to be “workshopping ideas” at the moment.

Among Us is now available on iOS, Android, the Nintendo Switch, and the PC. Later this year, the game will be released for PlayStation and Xbox platforms.
